Disclosure: I am a horrible swimmer. I am a swimming lessons dropout. But some of my favorite summer memories (prior to having kids) were spent boating with family & friends.
When you take your family boating
When you take your family boating, you are determined to pack light because you will just be on a boat for a few hours.
You will tell your family to head out to the car without you, because you just want to grab your camera and will be right out.
After grabbing your camera from the kitchen, you to decide to quick grab a few snacks for on the boat.
After grabbing the snacks and putting them in the cooler, you remember the fresh lemonade you just made, and think how great it will taste on the boat.
After adding the lemonade to the bag, you will remember that you didn’t grab swim diapers for the kids yet.
You will run back to the changing table grabbing several swim diapers adding them to the bag, then remembering you haven’t packed towels or a change of clothes for everyone.
After adding an additional bag of towels and extra clothes, you think of how much fun the kids would have playing with the cool new beach toys that your kids grab from their grandparents (and they are on the way to the car anyway).
After grabbing the toys and adding them in an additional bag, you begin to realize, that packing light while having young kids is an impossible goal, and head to the car with your head hung low..
When you finally reach your destination, you noticed that you forgot your several bags of items you “needed” for boating, but you still have a fantastic time,

atI love the way you wrote this. It really changed things up from the “normal” blog posts I see (and write) about family outings or reviewing products. Hat’s off to you. 🙂
