It is no secret that I enjoy a good time on a little budget.
This year I was AMAZED at all the family friendly things going on during Jackson’s Town & Country Days that costed little or no money.
This year’s festivities had something family friendly almost everyday, but our favorite Jam-packed day would be Saturday.
We started out the day downtown Jackson.
- Bike Helmet giveaway was generously put on by the NuWay Cooperative.
After the two bigs got their helmet from NuWay, they both decorated it with ribbon & festive painting tape put on by the Jackson Center For Arts.
Bike Safety Talk was put on by Jackson County Sheriff Department.
Besides informing the kids (and their parents) about how to be safe while on your bike/trike, they also gave out coupons for a free cone at Jackson’s Dairy Queen.
Kiddie Parade was shortly before the main parade
Grand Parade – They did an awesome job constant moving parade for a solid hour.
Above is what a 2 year old looks like after a fudgesicle.
After the parade the day continued with many fun family friend activities
Historic State Theater Had a special FREE showing of CARS at 2pm.
There was a Kid Zone Under the Grand Stand at the Jackson Motorplex (Saturday Afternoon)
All Saturday afternoon under the Grand Stand at the Jackson Motorplex there was face painting, inflatables, and big wheel races.
We had a delicious lunch with friends at the newly remodeled Burger King (and my 3 kids fell asleep before we left the parking lot).
And finally to end the day with a bang fireworks after the races at the Jackson Motorplex.
