We have been blessed with beautiful weather the last few days in SW Minnesota. The sticky mud that has been preventing the kids and I from having our daily farmyard adventures is finally drying up and I have even put out a few pieces of our outdoor summer play gear. While my oldest has been begging me to take out EVERYTHING, the Minnesota native in me is very leery about completing such a project before mid-May (traditionally after my niece’s birthday) because no one wants their Cozy Coupe or Water table demolished by skid-loader moving snow.
Naturally, the weatherman had to make this farm mommie sad, and tell us a lovely tale of a Holy Week blizzard, a promise of 6-16+ inches of snow, plus 30mph wind and 45mph wind gusts. Yucky…
But, with a snowstorm, means another #snowstormpost for 2016.
In our particular location, we still have no snow… but we do have wind & rain (lots of both). Let’s be honest, I am slightly skeptical at this point even though my social media feed has been exploding for winter storm advisories, winter storm warnings, and no travel advisories for my area.
Okay, I kid you not, just as a put the finishing touches on this post, THE STORM HIT…………
BUT…the post will go on… Even though the “storm” isn’t here, the weather is quite yucky which means everyone needs a few ideas of what to do until the spring weather decides to come back.
- Easter Egg Mini Golf – Easily adaptable idea for either indoor or outdoor use could also be converted into Easter Egg Croquet, Easter Egg Bag toss, or hide the Easter egg.
