Rewind a few weeks, our little family spent a quick few days up in the twin cities as a family getting away from our small town and the farm between a training session for work for my husband and my cousins wedding.
In the twin cities there are SOOO many things to do, that it is hard to pick just one thing to do, and items to do that are accommodating to the ages of our children, are family friendly, and are great on a tiny budget.
When we were on our way to the Minnesota children’s museum, we drove past the MSP airport and my children ooo’d and awed over the huge airplanes as they moved around on the runway, took off, and landed. At the last minute I made the choice to move our plans, around and watch the planes take off and land for a few hours rather than visit the museum without my husband.
Prior to visiting the viewing area, my children had only seen airplanes a fraction of the size of the ones available at this airport (mainly being crop dusters that fly over our farm periodically during the summer or our neighbor down the street, who is a licensed pilot, flying on occasion).
Although we have no idea where the airplanes were coming from, where they were going, what kind airplane they were, we had a fantastic memorable FREE time.
