I first heard about the Prairie Ecology Bus Center about 9 years ago, back in my teaching days. That may seem like a long time ago but the center Prairie Ecology Bus Center (PEBC) has been around since 1994 (slightly more than 9 years).
The PEBC offers a wide variety of programs for all ages but this past winter (2017) they started a Nature Tot’s program. This program has been extremely well received by the local community
What it is:
This new program started winter 2017, and is specifically geared towards preschool children and younger, which is a big change from their traditional school age and older programs that they have offered in the past. The program gets the kids (and their caregivers) dancing, singing, painting, running, and actively learning about the world around them.
When it is :
The program was initially started to take place one Thursday a month, but it was moved to Wednesdays due to the conflicting storytime schedule at the Lakefield Library. In September it will have another change, having the program TWO TIMES A MONTH, due to the popularity of the program with local moms & tots.
It will be taking place:
Twice a month (1st & 3rd) Wednesday’s from 10am-11am at the PEBC.
Where it is:
The PEBC is located on Sparks Park at 935 Hwy 86 in Lakefield MN. Right on the north edge of Lakefield
