I don’t know about you… but I have been anxiously waiting for Fuller House’s big primer day (2/26/16) on Netflix. I am now several episodes deep into the 13 episode season on Netflix, and here is my take on it…
Pros
-Family Friendly “Clean Fun”. I love cheesy movies and tv shows therefore this was a huge bonus for me.
-Is available to view on Netflix, therefore you may watch on your own schedule on your own tv or device as much or as little as you are able.
-The show contains many references to old “tag lines” that Full House fans know, remember, and LOVE.
-That house… Truthfully one of my favorite things about the show growing up was the ginormous house filled with fun, love and family. As a parent I am still ogling over the updated set that I would love to make my own home? RIGHT??!?
-Hidden adult humor
– They poke fun at themselves, they do it often, and they do it well.
Con
-Acting is a little painful at times, but it grows on you.
-They definitely have taken advantage of their loyal following that have come back in hopes of the same warm in your tummy feeling that they had 20 years ago. Unfortunately, “Fuller House” doesn’t capture the audience in the same captivating story lines that its predecessor did. They have plenty of opportunities to do so… but they skate around a subject instead of drawing in the audience with potential hook.
– Its hard to build a “new show” when you are constantly stuck in the past.
Bottom Line: No matter how hard they try they will not be a newer version of Full House, but in the meantime I have a show I can watch with my entire family and laugh and cry in almost every episode.
Have you seen it? What do you think?
