We enjoy shopping local. We enjoy living in a small town (or just outside of). We enjoy being part of a small community. Shopping local allows us to save time (not having to drive elsewhere), and support the local businesses.
Every year as part of the Town & Country Day’s in Jackson MN, there is a (mostly) FREE family friendly event called Franks-a-lot. The event mainly centers around food, and the menu for this event (if you have guessed) is hot dogs, in an interesting assortment of menu options. Provided and served by a variety of businesses, clubs, organizations, and civic groups that have one thing in common they would like to thank the citizens of Jackson and the surrounding community for their support. How humbling.
For a hot dog loving toddler this is amazing, for their mother that doesn’t have to make supper it is phenomenal.
Why we loved it.
Catch up with local friends & family members we haven’t seen in a little bit.
Great kick off for a fun weekend in Jackson for Town & Country Days.
Get out of the house and fill up on a budget. We spent spent $6 that evening (2 Gatorade and two larger then our heads bundles of cotton candy).
Try many different flavors, varieties, and concoctions including hot dogs.
